This morning’s cup of coffee is perked with everything good. Its primary purpose is to give you energy for your journey, to make you feel warm and cozy, and to stimulate your thinking. We look back out of fear, afraid that what we left, but is still in our hearts, will catch up with us. We look back out of an act of disproof to judge. Point a finger and say you thought you had me, but I made it out. Lastly, we may look back to see the detriment befalling those who did not leave. The thing is, regardless of all the reasons to look back, why are you looking back? If we are to maintain while we gain, as I like to say, looking back only throws you off course. It distracts you from purpose and can be to your demise. The only time we should ever look back is to encourage others by sharing our story of overcoming and victory, which you do not have until you have made it over. Do not allow yourself to be distracted by what you have left. Your prize is ahead of you. WHY LOOK BACK?
