This morning’s cup of coffee is brief. Choose the high road. Sometimes, we are confronted with other people’s issues. If you are not careful, you will internalize someone else’s issue, mistaking it as yours. There is an old Scottish song by Bon Bonnie Banks: “I’ll take the high road, and you take the low road; I’ll get to Scotland before ye, but me and my true love will never meet again.” Recognizing that the wrong road choice may result in one coming out on the short end of the stick.
