PULL OUT

Have you ever dug your heels so deep that even when you are ready to pull them out, they are too far in? Then, suddenly you forget the cause. You simply want out, but you are unwilling to give in to save face. Whose face, your face? Call it pride, stupidity or ignorance, or plain selfishness. I am not sure which one applies since, regrettably so, I have found myself in this position before. Nobody loves a healthy debate more than I do. In fact, my family invented the word debate. Wisdom is not always being right, but wisdom is the “ability to judge correctly and to follow the best course of action, based on knowledge and understanding.” (“Wisdom – Sophia | Precept Austin”) Sometimes it is difficult to give in when you have put so much of yourself into the fight, I mean debate. Learn to concede sometime. PULL OUT while you still have a chance. Its profit is better than the profit of silver, and its gain than fine gold. Can you recall a time when you refused to let go, and it had a negative effect on the outcome?

This Is War!

My Morning Cup of Coffee – There’s a war going on, and your mind is the leading soldier. Sun Tzu, Author of The Art of War, said: “The good fighters of old first put themselves beyond the possibility of defeat, and then waited for an opportunity of defeating the enemy.” I believe this reminds us that all things are possible and that defeat does not have to be an option. However, it also suggests that you must wait for an opportunity to defeat anything negative that tries to attack your life.

Waiting requires patience. If you can allow yourself to change your mind, you can change your attitude about your future and defeat the opposing forces that try to come against your life. Begin to take a positive look at the possibilities of the future and speak well of every situation regardless of what it looks like. Then position yourself to conquer it. THIS IS WAR, BABY, AND YOUR MIND IS IN IT. PLAN TO WIN!!! What would you like to change?
